The Right Jesus

There is only 1 reason to come to Jesus.

You have to know that you are a sinner and that you deserve hell.  You have to know that if God Judged you then you would be guilty.  The only reason to run to Jesus is that he died on the cross and you want to repent and put your faith in him that he paid the fine for your sins.  If you are coming to Jesus for any other reason then you are not a Christian.

If you became a Christian to be Happy then you are probably not saved.
If you become  a Christian to be wealthy then you are probably not saved.
If you became a Christian to hang out with people you think are cool then you are probably not saved.
If you became a Christian and your life did not change radically you are probablly not saved.

Do you think you are going to heaven because you are a good person and you believe in God and you have never really hurt anyone?  Let us look and see if you really are a good person.  The word Good is dirived from God.  God is morally perfect.  God requires us to keep the 10 commandments.  Have you kept the 10 commandments?  Have you ever told a lie?  Have you ever stolen anything even something small?  Have you ever hated anyone?  If you hate your brother then you have murdered him in your heart.  Have you ever lusted?  Jesus said if you lust after a women you have commited adultry already in your heart.   The Bible sayes it is called for a man once to die and then the judgment.  If you are judged by the 10 commandments how will you do?  If you broke even 1 then you will be guilty of them all.  The Bible says all liars will have their place in the lake of fire.  no theif no murder and no adulter can enter the kingdom of heaven.  God will judge us thought word and deed but he is rich in mercy and he sent his only son Jesus Christ to live a perfect life and to never break any of the laws.  Jesus an innocent man was raised up on the cross and paid the fine for those that repent and put their faith in Jesus's work on the cross.

The acceptable time for repentance is now.  Please repent and put your trust in Jesus.  God will make you a new person and you will be born again.  A trust in Jesus means that you walk as if you believe what the Bible tells you.  It is repenting daily for what you have done.  It is reading the Bible understanding it and obeying what it says.

  1. Well, there's a problem with your reasoning here: if God intends to torture billions of people for eternity, then there will be no Heaven, not really!

I've actually written an entire book on this topic--Hell? No! Why You Can Be Certain There's No Such Place As Hell, (for anyone interested, you can get a free ecopy of Did Jesus Believe in Hell?, one of the most compelling chapters in my book at www.thereisnohell.com), but if I may, I'd like to share with you one of the many points I make in it to explain why.

Let's say you end up in Heaven trying to sing endless praises to a God who is, simultaneously, torturing billions of others. Unless you are given a de facto lobotomy (in which case, YOU would no longer be YOU, so you might as well have not had a soul to begin with), you would have to begin wondering, "When am I next?" and the joy of Heaven would be lost, replaced by gloom and foreboding! Why? Because you could never rely on a God who is so mean to be honest about making any exceptions.

After all, which is more difficult? For God to actively cause so much immense pain, for so many, for so long, or to go back on whatever promises he made to a few others that he would not put them in Hell too at some point?

It would be like accepting an invitation to live as a guest with one of these maniacal men we've been hearing about lately who kidnap, imprison, rape and torture young girls in secret basements. Can you imagine such a guy, simultaneously, having some other young lady as his dinner date, and treating her with respect and care? And even if he did for a while, wouldn't his true nature unleash itself upon her at some point in time, as it has on so many others? Of course!

In other words, you're not really giving us a gospel, not "good" news.

Thankfully, there is some REAL good news, if we look, objectively, at what Jesus originally taught, starting with there being no Hell.

If one is willing to look, there's substantial evidence contained in the gospels to show that Jesus opposed the idea of Hell. For example, in Luke 9:51-56, is a story about his great disappointment with his disciples when they actually suggested imploring God to rain FIRE on a village just because they had rejected him. His response: "You don't know what spirit is inspiring this kind of talk!" Presumably, it was NOT the Holy Spirit. He went on, trying to explain how he had come to save, heal and relieve suffering, not be the CAUSE of it.

So it only stands to reason that this same Jesus, who was appalled at the very idea of burning a few people, for a few horrific minutes until they were dead, could never, ever burn BILLIONS of people for an ETERNITY!

True, there are a few statements that made their way into the copies of copies of copies of the gospel texts which place “Hell” on Jesus’ lips, but these adulterations came along many decades after his death, most likely due to the Church filling up with Greeks who imported their belief in Hades with them when they converted.

Bear in mind that the historical Protestant doctrine of the inspiration of the Scriptures applies only to the original autographs, not the copies. But sadly, the interpolations that made their way into those copies have provided a convenient excuse for a lot of people to get around following Jesus’ real message.

  2. Where did you study ancient document translations? I would guess that you have not. They have 5400 copies within 30 years of the writing of the original copies. There is not 1 doubt that the scriptures are 99.99% perfect. 99.99% of the scriptures are accuarate and none of the .01 that is in question would change any doctrine. All who study ancient documents are positive about that. They take all 5400 copies and put them next to each other to compare them and they compare them to the early fathers commentaries on the Bible and to the other versions in other languages for the interpertations. They know what the original looks like. You obviously do not know what you are talking about.

  3. There is no doubt a Hell.

What about the rich man in hell in Luke 19-31. He was a real man in a real Hell.

You do not understand the holiness of God. That is what you do not understand. Those in heaven will be nothing but gratful that God choose them. They will be so grateful that Jesus died on the cross to cover their sin. Everyone that is human will know that they deserve hell. God is unchanging and that is what everyone in heaven and that will be in heaven knows. They know that those he marked as Jesus paying the fine for will be marked as rightious forever.

There must be a real hell due to the holiness of God. God is a rightious judge who feels indignation every day. There will be a judgement. God says that vengance is his. God/Jesus/Holy Spirit are unchanging and holy and rightious. Sodom and Gomorrah where burned for the sin of men. That is the same God of the new testiment. You think people of today are any better than those of Sodom. Jesus said in Luke 13:3 unless you repent you will likewise perish.

    Revelation 20:11-15 (New International Version)

    The Dead Are Judged
11Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. 14Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Acts 17:31For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead."

The purpose of the judgement is to show the holiness of God. He is Perfect and can not be in the presents of sin. He is Just and he will Judge.

Rom 3:19 The whole world will be accountable to God.

No one will be able to say that God was unfair. He is completely just.

Wayne Gruduem says Hell is a place of eternal conscious punishment for the wicked.
Jesus talks about a real hell here

    Matthew 8:12

    Matthew 13:42
They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

    Matthew 13:50

    Revelation 14:9-11 (New International Version)

9A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, 10he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name."

    Revelation 20:10 (New International Version)
10And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

    Matthew 25:41
    Matthew 25:46
    MArk 9:43

    Luke 13:28
"There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out.

I would never read your heretical book.

  4. There is no doubt there is a hell and you can be certain that there is a hell. God is Just. Those in heaven will be grateful that they got their fine paid. Why would Jesus die on the cross for payment of peoples sins if there was no hell? If God was not just what would be the reason for the payment of sin? Jesus died on the cross to pay the fine for those that repent and trust in Jesus dieing on the cross.

  5. Jesus didn't do squat. Even if your story were true, he had a really bad weekend. What a slacker. I would be more impressed if he got a concoction of pancreatic cancer and full blown aids. His moment of suffering is less impressive than a gnat fart.
